The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design course delivers concepts, design and manufacturing techniques for students to acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required to synthesize garments from concept stage to production. The course sequence includes Sketching, Design, Forecasting, Manufacturing Process, Costing, Accessories, Quality and Sustainability. Over the duration of the course, students will become fluent in “fashion language” that is required to communicate to production industry.
Senior students do a “capstone” project which will demonstrate culminating and integrative experience of the fashion education that they have undertaken. Such projects will go through a critical review by industry experts thereby preparing students for the stringent industry requirements.
